Online Platform For Contractors iContract Now Seeks £500,000 Through Seedrs Funding Round

London based tech start-up iContract has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs and is now seeking £500,000 for its online platform for contractors. Launched in August 2017, iContract stated it is able to leverage these trends and play an important role in this work movement with its platform. The company also reported that it has so far registered over 3,000 contractors in finance, tech, and legal sectors, over 500 recruiters, and has had over 1,000 live contracts posted to its platform.

“iContract is a new online platform that serves both contractors and recruiters and hiring managers. It provides a more streamlined and accurate solution to job and candidate matching, as well as creating an interactive community for its user base to engage in, through direct chat, forums, offline events and third-party advice and support.”

iContract also revealed that it offers an effective solution to these common hiring woes that is both seamless and highly targeted and data specific in its user experience. Contractors registered with the platform can search for live contracts tailored to their unique preferences and obtain more personalized results in their job hunting process; likewise, recruiters can search for and find the right contractor they’re specifically looking for based on their own individual settings.

“In today’s employment landscape, more and more workers are ditching their traditional full-time jobs in favour of freelance or self-employed careers. A recent report predicts that by 2020, 50% of the UK workforce could be self-employed. As a result, more and more companies are adapting to this trend, with tech start-ups in particular able to adopt smart and lean hiring processes that provide the flexibility enjoyed by both parties, allowing them to scale sensibly.”

All funds from the Seedrs funding round will go towards  further product development of the platform with planned features and enhancements including; payment system, full text search, social universe, peer rating, enhancement of a newly launched mobile app, and enhancement of the site’s data matching algorithm that will feed into the company’s A.I. research. Since its launch, the campaign has successfully secured nearly £150,000. It is set to close later this winter.
